Good Good's Secret Ingredient "Steve", New Titleist Irons, & My Chip and Putt Story

Good Good’s Secret Ingredient “Steve”
If someone asked you who sits atop the golf Youtube throne and the first two words out of your mouth aren’t Good Good, you are oblivious. This raggedy cast of young adults has formed like a Marvel movie to entertain the golf world. And just like a Marvel movie everyone has their unique talents and abilities. Some lean more towards skill on the course, and some more towards skill on camera. When Garrett or Luke step up to the tee box, we know what to expect, they are scratch golfers. Or when Bubbie makes an appearance, we know his charisma and charm will shine through. We all have playing partners who we can relate to these roles, guys we invite out for one of two reasons. They are sick at golf or they make our belly hurt from laughing so hard. Now, not everyone fits into these cookie-cutter boxes, the outlier goes by the name “Stephen Castaneda”, and when I say he is the primary reason behind Good Good’s success I mean it. The double-edged sword of Steve is the fact that he has both qualities described above, but the catch is, you never know what you are going to get. Every time he is on film it’s like Christmas, am I getting 300 down the middle? a short-sided flop shot? Or a one-handed club release followed by him hiking his pants up above his belly button and doing a full squat? He is Good Good’s double threat, being both comedic relief and an extremely talented golfer. He is such a go-with-the-flow character he just oozes relatability, that's what makes him the secret ingredient. I know he has struggled with some injuries recently, and I wish him nothing but the best with his back, keep being you, Steve.
Fancy New Titleist Irons
Titleist seems to be taking a page out of Ford’s book by introducing the new 150 and 350 series. The 150’s seem to be catered more towards people looking for sleek top lines, yet forgiving structure. The 350’s look to be game improvement irons similar to their previous 300 line, but these are forged. The 100 and 200 line are redesigned, but no details have been released. We look forward to more insights this weekend at the memorial.

My Chip and Putt Story
My girlfriend and I took a trip to the city this past weekend to enjoy our day off together. We commonly would walk by this local pitch and putt right on the ocean and kept saying we needed to try it. Well, today was that day, and it was the most terrifying fun I’ve ever had. Take the miniature golf course demographic, now allow them to take full swings of clubs they have never used. It felt like being on the beach of Normandy, you would hear trees knocking and bushes rustling consistently throughout the round. We had balls from other holes fly onto our green, our tee box, and even one in between my legs! Keep in mind this demo doesn’t know any golf course etiquette, you would not hear any Fore’s or warnings, just the occasional “sorry about that” faintly in the distance. You can't beat ocean golf, even if you need to bring a hard hat. Overall it's a great introduction to the sport for new golfers and helps you dial in your short game for anyone experienced, win-win.
Wild Picks for the Memorial
There is absolutely no rhyme or reason for these picks, just gut feeling. I’m going Canadian with Conners at +4500 and Hughes at +30,000. I am 0/1 this year let’s look to get hot.
